Extra matured cheese

Extra matured cheese is a fantastic cheese with slightly piquant flavour notes and a natural creaminess. At a young age, we collect the cheese from the farmer and continue maturing it in our maturing house for 7 to 8 months. The cheeses mature in this way, thanks to the right temperature and humidity. What is extra matured cheese?

After maturing for 7 to 8 months, the cheese has turned into a flavoursome extra-aged cheese. With a slightly tangy flavour, this type of cheese still manages to retain its creaminess. Do you like a little bit of firmness? Then this is an excellent cheese for sandwiches. It is a fairly hard cheese, but certainly still easy to cut. Besides being incredibly tasty, extra mature cheeses also contain good nutrients. Extra-ripened cheese is rich in proteins, minerals and vitamins A, B and D. These nutrients have a positive effect on resistance and keeping bones strong.
