Family business with a passion for cheese
After almost 80 years, our family business has grown into a renowned market trade. Cheese sellers in heart and soul, and moulded from the bottom up, for 3 generations.
Grandpa Hoogendoorn started the cheese business in the 1930s. It all started with peddling the handcart in the Rotterdam area. In 1967, grandpa has his first market stall with cheese at the Schiebroek market. Since then, we have grown into a cheese shop that is on the market at several places in The Netherlands every week.
Special natural ripening process
The warehouse where the cheese ripens is in Waddinxveen. Right in the middle of the Green Heart among the farmers. Our aim is to ripen as naturally as possible. To achieve the best results, the cheeses ripen under the most natural conditions. This gives the cheeses the time to mature traditionally. This allows the cheeses to retain their characteristic and traditional flavour: creamy, unctuous, flavoursome. Cheese as it should taste is therefore our slogan!
At home in all markets
Our customers can choose from over 100 different types of cheese. Our specialities are Farmer's cheeses and Beemster cheeses. Local farmers bring their cheeses to us, and we rip them in our own warehouse. You can't be closer to nature: know what the cow eats, know what the customer buys. Our product: cheese has been made the same way for a hundred years. It is a truly natural product, which we stand behind 100%t.
We invest a lot of time in the relationship with our customers. Selling the right product that suits the customer's needs is therefore our aim. We provide our customers with the right product information every week, so that they become familiar with our product, and also know what they are eating.
