Dutch young goat cheese
Delicious cheese made from pasteurized Dutch Geitenmelk. This young cheese has a typical nutty and somewhat sweeter taste which makes it particularly Smaakvol and delicious Pittig.
Goat cheese has a much whiter color than cheese made from cow's milk. This has everything to do with the grass the goats eat. Cows also eat grass, but convert the leafy green of the grass into catopeen: an orange dye. This then ends up in the cow's milk, giving it a yellowish color.
Unlike cows, goats convert the chlorophyll of the grass into the colorless vitamin A. This makes the goat's milk much whiter.
Processing young goat cheese
Our young goat's cheese is delicious for on bread, but you can also incorporate young goat's cheese into various dishes with the greatest of ease. For example, make a lukewarm salad with melted goat's cheese, walnuts and a little honey.
