Save for discounts with every order
The loyalty points program at Cheese Online allows registered customers to save for discounts on subsequent orders. You can save these loyalty points in various ways.
Advantages of the loyalty points program of Cheese Online
Have you created an account with us? Great! Then you can immediately start collecting loyalty points. You can redeem these loyalty points at a later date when placing an order. The loyalty points are an extra benefit for our customers and a thank you to our regular customers.
How can you save points?
Once you have created an account, you can immediately start collecting loyalty points:
- Create an account - For creating an account with us, you will receive 20 loyalty points.
- Subscribe to the newsletter - When you subscribe to our newsletter for the first time, you will receive 10 loyalty points.
- Place an order - Every time you place an order with us, you will receive one loyalty point per euro spent. This is based on the total amount in the shopping cart. These points will be added to your balance, which you can view in your account under the loyalty points menu.
- Place a product review after your order - A few days after placing your order, you will receive an e-mail from us with the possibility to fill in a review. For completing a review, you will receive 2 loyalty points per product review.
- Invite friends - In your account, go to 'My loyalty points', then to 'Sent invitations' and invite your friends there. Does one of your invited friends place an order? Then you will receive 25 loyalty points.
Guidelines for writing product reviews
Before product reviews appear on the website, each review is checked manually. In doing so, we pay attention to a number of things to ensure that your review is as useful as possible for other customers.
- Reviews must be unique and must not be copied from an already existing review. The same review twice... that is no use to anyone. Therefore, be creative and write a unique review that actually helps someone else. Even if you rate several products at once, each product should have a unique rating.
- If you have not yet used a product, do not rate it yet. A review without substantive information about your experience with the product will not help someone else decide whether or not to buy it. Therefore, only write a review if you have used the product and can actually find something to like about it.
- Write a review of at least 50 characters. A good or bad review requires an explanation. Why are you satisfied or not satisfied with a the product? Do not use excessive punctuation or (three) double letters to reach the 50 characters.
- Use decent and grammatically correct language (Dutch or English). A review full of grammar and spelling mistakes is unreadable and can cause confusion. It may also happen that you are not satisfied with a product, make this known with a decent review. There is no need for swearing or other offensive language.
- Do not mention other (web) shops in your review. The reviews are meant to evaluate the products of Cheese Online. Mentioning another web shop in your review does not contribute to evaluating the products.
What is the value of loyalty points?
The value of loyalty points is determined by the value in euros you spend on our site. For every €1 you spend, you will receive €0.05 in the form of loyalty points. In other words: 1 loyalty point is worth €0.05.
Redeeming loyalty points
You can redeem loyalty points immediately with your next order. You can select the option 'use my benefit points' during checkout of your next order. This option is listed under payment options on the checkout page. This also shows your current points balance and the value in euros. You can combine the points with all our payment methods. Points cannot be redeemed for cash. Saving points can only be redeemed for products in our webshop. Points can only be deducted from the subtotal.
Minimum and maximum amount of loyalty points
You can start redeeming loyalty points as from 20 loyalty points. This equals a value of €1. The maximum number of loyalty points you can redeem at the same time is 250 loyalty points. This equals a value of €12.50. The maximum number you can collect within your account is 5,000 loyalty points. This equals a value of €250. Above that, it is no longer possible to continue saving before you have redeemed points.
Viewing your balance
You have the option in your account to view the balance of your loyalty points. Here you can see the total number of points, the maximum number of points and a history of your point transactions. The history includes information on why these points were saved or redeemed with each transaction.
Validity of points
Points will lose their validity after 1 year. Points will expire in the order in which they were saved. For example: For an order dated 1 January 2022, you have saved 20 points, these 20 points will expire on 1 January 2023.
Note: You can register in your account to receive notifications every time your points balance changes. You will be notified 30 days before points expire. You can enable notifications regarding your balance in your account under the loyalty points menu.
