Jersey cheese extra matured
Delicious organic extra mature cheese made from the milk of Jersey cows. The cheeses are made in the South Holland village of Ouddorp. After the preparation process, the cheeses are matured in our traditional maturing house. Here, the cheeses are given at least 26 weeks to mature to taste.
Unlike milk from other cows, Jersey cows give milk with a different composition of fats and proteins. Jersey milk contains on average 85% more fat and 40% more protein. The cheese is much creamier and fuller in flavour for this reason.
