Delicious soft cheese
What exactly are soft cheeses? These types of cheeses have a soft and creamy texture. The nice thing about our soft cheeses is that they can be eaten in many different ways. In fact, most soft cheeses are great to incorporate into both cold and hot dishes, but on a baguette or toast they are often very tasty too.
Our soft cheeses in this category all come from abroad and range from intensely flavourful to mild and fresh flavours.
Soft creamy cheeses from different types of milk
Our selection of foreign soft cheeses includes Italian and soft French cheeses. Many of these creamy cheeses bear an AOC or an AOP label. These labels guarantee the authenticity of the cheeses. In short, this seal ensures that the cheeses can only bear their name if they are made from specific milk from animals from a specific region. The preparation and ripening process can also influence this. These labels ensure that you are buying the highest quality and not a poor imitation of the original.
Buy foreign soft cheese

Frequently asked questions
What soft cheeses are there?
There are many different soft cheeses. In our range, we have soft cheeses made from cow's milk, goat's milk or sheep's milk. These cheeses have Italian or French origins, such as Brie, Camembert and Langres. View our range for the full range of soft cheeses.
What is the difference between soft and hard cheese?
The difference between soft and hard cheese is the ripening process. A shorter ripening time and moisture content makes for a softer and more creamy cheese. Soft cheeses contain more than 67% water! Hard cheeses are matured longer and have a lower moisture content than soft cheeses. This gives Emmental and Swiss Gruyère their stronger flavour.
Can you eat soft cheese when you are pregnant?
If you are pregnant, you should only eat pasteurised cheese. During the production process, the milk is heated to at least 95 degrees, killing all bacteria. So you can eat mozzarella from both buffalo milk and cow's milk. Chèvre is also a delicious French goat's cheese that you can enjoy during pregnancy. The product information describes whether the cheese has been pasteurised. Contact us for more information.
