In terms of texture and flavour, it is between feta and mozzarella, but goes a little more in the salty direction. Halloumi is a popular product among vegetarians because it is extremely rich in protein, which vegetarians do not get through meat.
Preparing and processing halloumi cheese
Halloumi grill cheese is fine to eat raw, but it is best sliced and baked or heated on the barbecue. Don't be afraid of the cheese melting, it will get a crispy crust making it even more delicious. Eat the Halloumi cheese through salad, in a wrap or on bread.
