Dutch matured goat's cheese
Delicious cheese made from pasteurised Dutch goat's milk. This mature cheese has a typical nutty and slightly sweeter taste that makes it particularly tasty and nicely spicy.
Goat's cheese has a much whiter colour than cheese made from cow's milk. This has everything to do with the grass the goats eat. Cows also eat grass, of course, but convert the leafy green of the grass into catopeen: an orange dye. This then ends up in the cow's milk, giving it a yellowish colour.
Unlike cows, goats convert the leafy green of the grass into the colourless vitamin A. This makes the goat's milk much whiter.
Serving matured goat's cheese
